Katy Perry and Kristen Stewart chance their hair color
We thought Katy Perry had gone a bit quiet on the old hair colour scene. The pop sensation, who is known for her catalogue of eccentric dye jobs, has been modelling her 'natural' glossy black hue for months now.
Unwilling to take the monotone look into spring, the Firework singer has burst back into the dye sphere with a bang. What colour does a celebrity choose when she has previously dappled with candy floss pink, blue, violet and lilac? Slime green, no less. We particularly like that Perry has styled her grungy green locks into neat waves (below right). Ever the pop star pin up. 
Across the hair dye pond sits a flame haired Kristen Stewart, who has dipped her locks in a faded burnt orange formula. Not a prolific social media user, it was up to hair salon Maison De Cheveux to enlighten us about the 23-year-old's lighter 'do.
Unlike Perry's spring makeover, the Twilight actress has had to embrace the ginger look for her upcoming role in 2015 film American Ultra. Stewart plays the girlfriend of a stoner in a sleepy, small-town existence, who apparently enjoys a bathroom hair dye session. 
With festival season around the corner - California-based Coachella kicks off proceedings on April 11 - expect to see many more bohemian ladies dipping a toe into the rainbow hair dye pool. Perhaps none quite so niche as slime green though.
