Rang Rasiya is an Indian drama film based on the life of the 19th-century Indian painter Raja Ravi Varma.[1] The film is directed Ketan Mehta, produced by Deepa Sahi and Aanand Mahendroo. It stars Randeep Hooda, Nandana Sen and a newcomer Feryna Wazheir in the lead roles.

Production: After his last commercial film Mangal Pandey: The Rising (2005), Mehta chose to make a film about the painter of the 19th century, the life of Raja Ravi Varma. Incidentally these two films are based on a theme of the 19th century His new film is an adaptation of the biographical novel one Marathi writer Ranjit Desai Raja Ravi Varma. This bilingual in English and Hindi is titled as color of passion and Rang Rasiya respectively. Mehta thought Varma was the most fascinating artist of the age and character, personality and paintings fascinated him since his days in Film and Television Institute of India. When Mehta met Nandana Sen in his house, he saw two life-size reproductions of paintings of Raja Ravi Varma. This assured him that he was familiar with the artist and his works, and did his job as manager easier. Speaking of the character that was to show, said:

"To me, she was the perfect woman to play the muse of an artist who sparked off debates about censorship of art. She has that child-woman quality, which was so much a part of Sugandha's personality.

Talking about her character, Sen said "Varma saw in it (Sugandha) face and soul of a goddess. (For him) she is passionate, possessive and hungry for love." To play this character, Sen had to dress up and look like a young Maharashtrian woman with long hair, blue eyes, waist chain and a ring in his nose. In addition, she also won five kilos for the character because I had to look voluptuous. She was helped with his familiarily with physical patterns in the paintings of Varma of women, such as "how tilting your hips, the way they play with their hands. Though the film has some scenes in which she had to expose, she chose to do it because I thought the sensible scene formed the basis of history. although it was not an easy decision, he felt quite comfortable in performing the scene. one such scene is a wide angle shot showing a naked breast of a nearly naked Senator While this scene was shot aesthetically, the Central Board of Film certification, which regulates the qualifications and certification of the media in India, objected to it and ordered a review based on consensus.

Mehta saw earlier films Hooda Risk and D. In this film, which starred as Raja Ravi Varma in two stages - first as a man of 60 years, then 20 years old, on a within 10 days.As a preparation for his role, Hooda tried to learn the basics of painting. He was happy working in the film and said that his acting skills were well arranged by Mehta skills.

In addition Hooda, and Mehta wanted to work with new faces introduced a Scottish actress and one from India. Paresh Rawal was also called upon to play an important role. The Other Woman is a 2014 American romantic comedy film directed by Nick Cassavetes and written by Melissa Stack. The film stars Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, Kate Upton and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, with Nicki Minaj, Taylor Kinney and Don Johnson in supporting roles. The film follows three women—Carly (Diaz), Kate (Mann), and Amber (Upton)—who are all romantically involved with the same man, Mark (Coster-Waldau). After finding out about each other, the trio decide to take revenge on Mark.

Development of The Other Woman began in January 2012, when 20th Century Fox hired Stack to write the script, based on the original idea from 1996 comedy The First Wives Club. Casting began in November 2012 and ended in June 2013. Filming began on April 29, 2013 in New York City, using locations like Manhattan, Long Island, The Hamptons, and The Bahamas. Aaron Zigman composed the score and LBI Productions produced the film.

The film was released on April 25, 2014 in the United States, distributed worldwide by 20th Century Fox. Despite negative reviews, the film has been a box office success, becoming number one at the box office during its opening weekend and grossed over $196 million worldwide against its budget of $40 million. It was released on DVD and Blu-ray on July 29, 2014, and earned more than $13 million in home media sales.

Plot: Carly, an attorney, has just started a relationship with Mark, a man she had sex with eight weeks prior. She is upset when Mark tells her he has to go out of town, but decides to go over to his house to seduce him. She is horrified to meet Kate, Mark's wife. While they are initially hostile, the two women end up befriending each other. Kate discovers that Mark is seeing another woman, whom she initially believes to be Carly. However, she and Carly discover that Mark is seeing a third woman: Amber.

Carly and Kate travel to the beach, where Kate has a run in with Amber and the two women inform her that Mark has been cheating on all of them. They decide to take revenge by doing things such as spiking his smoothies with estrogen and giving him breasts, as well as putting hair removal cream in his shampoo. Through their pranks, they discover that Mark has been embezzling from various companies at his workplace. Meanwhile, Carly begins to connect romantically with Kate's brother Phil. In addition, Amber confides to Carly that she is seeing someone else as well. However, their camaraderie begins to shatter when Kate finds herself falling in love with Mark again after an investor's dinner. Carly exposes Mark's fraud, upsetting Kate.

Later, Mark goes to the Bahamas on a supposed business trip, Kate decides to follow him there and blow his cover. She finds Carly and Amber at the airport, who explain what Mark has been up to: he has been using Kate as the owner of the companies he defrauded, which would cause her to go to prison if discovered. She finds out that Mark has yet another woman and that he had been seeing her. This, and the possibility of facing prison in Mark's place, urges Kate to take actions with help from Carly's legal expertise.

When Mark returns from vacation, he goes to visit Carly at her office. He is locked in the conference room by Carly's assistant, and is shocked to find all three women together. They confront him with all of his infidelities and embezzlements that they have discovered. With Carly as her attorney, Kate demands a divorce. Kate reveals that she has returned the embezzled money to the companies, which saves the divorcing couple from prison time but leaves Mark bankrupt. Additionally, Mark's business partner Nick arrives and fires Mark upon the discovery of the crime. Nick offers Kate the chance to take over her former husband's job in appreciation of her honesty.

Later, Carly marries Phil and the couple are expecting a child, Amber marries Carly's father, Frank, and Kate works as a CEO with Mark's former business partners and the company making a profit under her leadership.

Filming: In March 2013, the shooting was set to begin late-spring or early summer 2013 in New York. Later it was told that the production would begin in May 2013. Principal photography for the movie began on April 29, 2013 and filming was completed by August 27, 2013.[citation needed] Much of filming took place in parts of New York, including Long Island, The Hamptons, and Westhampton Beach. In the late-June, some scenes were also shot in Chinatown. The movie opens with the assassination of a man of unknown identity. A team of three CIA officers, including Jack Chen (played by Daniel Wu), a rookie, watch through surveillance as a sexy female assassin named Fiona Birch (Marit Thoresen) enters the man's heavily guarded apartment suite and, after having sex with him, kills him by breaking his spine with her bare hands. As she makes her escape in her white Porsche 911 GT3, her car is hit by a rocket. As the officers rush over to extricate her from the wreckage, a woman in a limousine shoots her to death. The woman in the limousine is revealed to be Madam M (Almen Wong), the leader of a mysterious assassin organization, to which the killed assassin belonged. After the incident, young girls across the globe start disappearing one after another. The only relationship among them is that they are all trained in martial arts or sports. As Jack correctly theorizes, these girls have been abducted by Madam M and transported to an island to be trained to become professional assassins. After six years of gruesome training, only Charlene Ching (Maggie Q), Katt (Anya Wu) and Jing (Jewel Lee) survive and "graduate". The last test in order for them to graduate was a fight for survival/to the death test. Katt and Charlene, being friends, could not kill each other, and so each is accepted as the third survivor. To celebrate, Madame M gives them all different wines which have drugs in it. As the drugs take effect Madame M calls her guards to brutally rape the girls, thus (in Madame M's words) making them ready for what was to come. The three girls are then sent on several missions around the world. During one of her missions in Hong Kong, Charlene coincidentally runs into her long-lost mother, Faye Ching (Cheng Pei-pei). Jack, who has been following Madam M's case for the last six years, tracks Charlene down, but Charlene manages to knock him out and escape. Believing that Charlene would return to seek her mother, Jack waits outside Faye's house. However, Jing shows up first and stabs Faye. Jack tries to fend her off but was no match for her. Charlene shows up shortly and kills Jing after a fierce fight. The two then escort the wounded Faye to hospital. In order to regain their freedom, Charlene and Katt accept a final mission from Madam M. A yakuza boss, Ryuichi (Andrew Lin), has contracted Madam M to eliminate a traitor in his gang. The mission turns out to be Ryuichi's trap to avenge his partner, who was assassinated previously by one of Madam M's girls (Charlene). Ryuichi kills Madam M and captures Katt, while Charlene escapes. Later, she and Katt went to the meeting place and finds that it was a trap. Ryuichi then shoots a dart containing a drug. Then while Jack was at the hospital, Charlene calls him to meet her at the beach. They end up making love and by the next morning she left a note in his shoe saying if they have fate then they will meet again. When Charlene returns the next day to rescue Katt, she watches helplessly through a bullet-proof glass as Katt, after being tortured, is killed by Ryuichi, with a sword. The enraged Charlene battles Ryuichi and through an intense fight, finally manages to kill him, using the technique used by Fiona Birch. After everything is over, Jack and Charlene's mother, Faye, are at a Chinese temple offering prayers. Faye jokingly says that these things (the gods that she has been praying to) must have been all nonsense in Jack's point of view. But Jack tells her that although he never had a religion he feels peace every time he is in the temple. Faye commends his behavior and says that he should visit the temple more often. Meanwhile, we see Charlene in a Chinese temple praying for Katt's soul to rest in peace and she tells the deity that she wishes to be with the one she truly loves, Jack himself. Jack claims at the end of the movie that there are times when he is sure that Charlene is beside him; the last scene of the movie is Charlene watching Jack rush through the crowd looking for her.

An alien, PK (Aamir Khan), lands on Earth on a research mission in Rajasthan but is stranded when the remote to his spaceship is stolen. PK, not knowing Earth customs, learns to fit in among humans by wearing clothes and using money that he steals from couples having sex in cars. He attempts to learn to communicate by grabbing the villagers' hands and absorbing their memories through touch, but they chase him away when he tries. Bhairon Singh (Sanjay Dutt) strikes him with his car and takes him to a doctor who declares PK is a person suffering amnesia. Bhairon befriends him and, interpreting the alien's hand-grabbing as sexual interest, takes him to a brothel. There, the alien holds a prostitute's (Reema Debnath) hand for six hours and thus learns the Bhojpuri language. The alien travels to Delhi in search of his stolen remote. Due to his strange behaviour, the people in the city assume he is tipsy (tipsy translates to pee-kay in Hindi) and call him PK. Delhi turns out to be a very large city, and people tell him that only God can help him find his remote. PK tries to find God, but is confused by India's various religions and their confusing traditions. He later discovers that a godman, Tapasvi Maharaj (Saurabh Shukla), has his remote. However, Tapasvi falsely claims to have attained the object from God in the Himalayas and refuses to return it to PK. Bewildered, PK concludes that Tapasvi and other religious heads must be calling a "wrong number" to God and, as a result, spreading misunderstandings and meaningless rituals. Meanwhile in Bruges, television reporter Jaggu (Anushka Sharma) falls in love with a man named Sarfaraz (Sushant Singh Rajput). Jaggu's father (Parikshit Sahni) objects to their relationship because Sarfaraz is a Muslim from Pakistan; he consults Tapasvi who predicts that Sarfaraz will betray Jaggu. Determined to prove them wrong, Jaggu proposes to Sarfaraz. She is heart-broken at the wedding chapel when she receives a letter calling off the marriage due to their differences. She returns to India where she is intrigued while watching PK distributing leaflets about a missing God. After hearing his story, Jaggu devises a plan to expose Tapasvi and recover PK's remote. Jaggu encourages thousands of people to send in videos of their own experiences with religious heads calling "wrong numbers". Finally, Tapasvi is forced to come into the studio and confront PK on-air. Tapasvi claims he has a direct connection to God and refers to his prediction of Sarfaraz's betrayal as proof. However, PK absorbs Jaggu's memories and discovers that Sarfaraz did not write the letter she received. Jaggu contacts the Pakistan Embassy in Belgium where Sarfaraz worked; the embassy tells her that Sarfaraz still loves her and calls them daily to inquire whether she has called. Jaggu and Sarfaraz reconnect and Tapasvi, exposed as a fraud, is forced to return PK's device. In the course of the film, PK falls in love with Jaggu but refrains from telling her because she loves Sarfaraz. He instead records tapes of her voice and fills his suitcases with batteries so that he can listen to the tapes on his home planet. While departing, he lies to Jaggu regarding the content of the tapes; Jaggu, despite knowing the truth, keeps quiet. She later publishes a book about PK and, at a book reading, claims that she misses him deeply. The film ends with PK returning to Earth a year later on a new research mission with another alien (Ranbir Kapoor).

Filming: The co-director Khan began looking for shooting locations in July 2012. Second unit filming was set to begin in late 2012, which was stalled after the rumoured departure of three department heads for the film and bad weather stalling initial shoots. Hirani denied rumours that the film would be delayed, stating that principal filming had always been intended to begin in mid-January 2013 in Delhi and Rajasthan to "capture the winter of Delhi".Shooting officially began on 1 February 2013, with the filming scheduled to occur over a 45-day period. A 26-day schedule of shooting of PK started in Delhi from 27 September 2013. When the shoot of the film was going on in Chandni Chowk area of Delhi, an FIR was lodged against makers of the film for allegedly hurting religious sentiments in October 2013. The objection was regarding a scene in the film where a man dressed as the Hindu deity, Lord Shiva pulls the rickshaw with two burqa clad women as passengers.

ISIS in Nigeria to Recruit Fighters - FG

The Federal Government has raised alarm over the presence of some agents of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, ISIS, in Nigeria to recruit more fighters into their fold. The National Coordinator, National Information Centre and Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mike Omeri made this known in a statement signed by his Special Adviser, David Akoji yesterday Dec. 23.

Omeri said that intelligence information gathered by Security officials show that three South African nationals disguising as humanitarian workers are currently in the country to facilitate the recruitment of some Nigerians into the islamic terror group. He appealed to Nigerians to be vigilant and report humanitarian workers with suspicious motives

"Nigerians are known the world over to be selfless, hospitable and humanitarian. We believe in the brotherhood of all mankind and no one should be allowed to take advantage of these virtues or turn them into vices. Nigerians are therefore advised to report to security agencies without hesitation, any group or non-governmental agency whose overt or covert activities are suspicious or have tendencies to jeopardise the innocence of our youths and the security of our people wherever they are in the world,” he said.

The Rivers State Police Command wishes to inform the public of another safe rescue of a three-year old male child kidnap victim.

On 22/12/2014 at about 3:00PM, Police operatives tracked and stormed the kidnappers hideout located at Rumuodogu II, Port Harcourt where the child (name withheld) earlier kidnapped on 15/12/2014 was kept.

Two suspected kidnappers Ben Elenwo and Ogele Akiyo, who with little resistance were arrested at the hideout which led to the subsequent arrest of their comrade in crime, Ibezin Isih at another location.

The idea of kidnapping the little victim was conceived and initiated by Ogele Akiyo, who is a co-tenants with the victim's parents in same compound while Ben Elenwo who posed as the child school teacher executed the kidnapping.

Pics: Parents of missing Chibok girl say its going to be a bad Xmas for them

One of the parents of the missing Chibok girls says it will be a bad Christmas for them this year as their daughter has still not returned. In an interview with CNN, the parents of the missing girl described her as a very studious girl

"She is brilliant. She likes reading. She liked to go to school,” her father told CNN.

"She used to tell me one day she would finish school and become somebody. She loved studies; she used to assist the younger ones with their homework. She used to fall asleep with her books in her arms.” her mother said

The missing girls father says during festive periods like Christmas, the family was always “complete and happy”, but that as it is now it won’t be the same saying . “One of us is not there, how can it be the same”? “There is nothing I can say; it has happened. It is a bad Christmas, but there is nothing we can do.”

The mother says she believes that one day her daughter would come back home.

“Her siblings know that she is not here. They themselves know what is happening, having come out of war. They keep asking me, ‘when is she coming back?’ But I keep telling them to keep trusting God, maybe He will hear us. I always feel pain inside of me, but I am trusting God that one day, she she will come back.”

The missing girl’s father added

“I tell the Children that she will come back, they should keep praying and hoping that she is still alive and that she will come back. They will come back. They will come back. That many girls? If they are still alive on the face of the earth, they will come back" he said

Chimamanda Adichie, Late Stella Adadevoh make CNN's leading women 2014 list

Two phenomenal Nigerian women, Chimamanda Adichie and late Dr Stella Adadevoh have been recognized by international media house, Cable News Network CNN, as some of the world's leading women for the year 2014.

In a list released earlier today by CNN, late Dr Stella Adadevoh was recognized for her significant contribution towards the prevention of the spread of the deadly Ebola virus in Nigeria while Chimamanda was recognized for her contributions to African Literature.

Other women who made the list included Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Oscar award winning actress Lupita Nyong'o, and IMF Chairman Christine Lagarde
