Jonas, who is 11, is apprehensive about the upcoming ceremony where he was assigned his work or his "mission in the community." In their society, some privacy is allowed; even private homes have two-way intercom can be used to listen for infractions of the rules. However, the rules seem to be readily accepted by all, including Jonas. So it is without protest that initially accepts his selection as the host of memories, a job that he says true is full of pain and training which will isolate her from her family and friends forever. However, under the guidance of this receptor, a surprisingly gentle man who has the same strange eyes, pale as Jonas, the child absorbs the memories that induce feelings the first time for true happiness and love. Also, for the first time, Jonas knows what is to see a rainbow, and experience the snow and the thrill of driving a sled down a hill. But then it gives painful memories: war, pain, death and starvation. These are memories of the deep past of the Community. Jonas learns that the Community has designed a society of "identity" to protect its people from the past, however, begins to understand the tremendous loss that he and his people have suffered for giving away his memories, embracing "identity "and using" climate control ". In his "community", which is under extreme control, no suffering, hunger, war, and there is color, music or love. Everything is controlled by "the Wise", who looked in a very positive light, even though the control will marry whom, where children are placed, and what everyone will be "assigned" as a job. People in the community have the freedom to choose. Jonas hurts with this new found wisdom and their desire for a life flourishes elsewhere. But the final blow to Jonas comes when he asks the receiver (who now calls himself "The Giver") which is "liberation". The Giver says he could show him, Jonas and allows for a current tape of his own father, a seemingly kind and loving man, "liberate" a twin baby by giving a lethal injection. Like any other "aberration" of equality, identical twins are against the rules, so the smaller of the two is issued as junk, without which conducted the launch understand the true meaning of action. Together, Jonas and the Giver come to the realization that the time for change is now, the Community has lost its way and should have his memories returned. The only way that happens is if Jonas leaves the Community, at the memories flood has been given back to the people. Jonas wants the Giver to escape with him, but the Giver insists that will be needed to help people deal with memories, or they will destroy themselves. The Giver also wants to stay back so that when carrying out their work, he can be with his daughter, Rosemary, a girl with clear eyes that ten years earlier had failed in his training to become the new receiver and memories had asked to be released (the memories of pain and loneliness she had overwhelmed). The Giver devises a plot in which Jonas leak somewhere else, an unknown land that exists beyond the limits of the Communities. The Giver make it seem as if Jonas drowned in the river so finding him will be limited. Meanwhile, the Giver Jonas memories give strength and courage to hold and save up your meals as food and feed water for the trip Jonas. His plan is changed when she learns that Jonas Gabriel, the baby staying with their family unit, "releases" the next morning. Jonas has attached to the baby, which also has unusual blue eyes, and feels he has no choice but to flee with the child. No memories of strength and value promised by the Giver, Jonas steals his father's bicycle and goes with Gabriel to find elsewhere. Your ride escape is fraught with dangers, and the two are near death from cold and hunger when they reach the border of what Jonas believes should be elsewhere. Using his ability to "see beyond", a gift he does not understand, is with a sled waiting for him at the top of a snowy hill. He and Gabriel sled ride down toward a house full of colored lights and warmth and love and a Christmas tree, and for the first time you hear something you know to be the music. The ending is ambiguous, with Jonas is like experiencing symptoms of hypothermia. This leaves his future and Gabriel unresolved. However, their fate is revealed in Messenger, an accompanying novel written much later. [4] In 2009 at the National Book Festival, the author Lois Lowry joked for a Q & A, "Jonas is alive, by the way. No need to ask that question.

These two races have dominated the landscape of modern mythology for countless centuries, almost taking the evidence that one third never existed. This third race, born of smokeless fire was called geniuses. As in humans in many ways, the geniuses lived invisibly among us and only under extreme or unusual circumstances were never meant our paths to cross. News of Paul walker? LOS ANGELES — A fiery car crash north of Los Angeles has killed 40-year-old Paul Walker, the star of the “Fast & Furious” movie series, and one other person in the vehicle.

Deputies found a Porsche Carrera GT engulfed in flames when they responded to a report of a collision Saturday afternoon in the community of Valencia, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. Two people who were found in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.

Walker’s publicist Ame Van Iden confirmed the actor’s death. A statement on Walker’s Facebook page said he was a passenger in a friend’s car, and that Walker was in the area to attend a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide.

The Sheriff’s Department said that speed was a factor in the crash.
The Santa Clarita Valley Signal reported that the Porsche crashed into a light pole and tree and burst into flames. The fundraiser, to benefit victims of Typhoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan), took place at a nearby racecar shop. Attendees rushed to put out the flames with fire extinguishers to no avail. “All of us at Universal are heartbroken,” Universal Pictures, which has released the “Fast & Furious” franchise, said in a statement. “Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the ‘Fast and Furious’ films, and to countless fans.”

His “Fast & Furious” co-star Vin Diesel posted a photograph of him and Walker arm-in-arm on Instagram with the message: “Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless.” Walker rode the “Fast & Furious” franchise to stardom, starring in all but one of the six action blockbusters, beginning with the first film in 2001. The blond-haired, blue-eyed Los Angeles-native brought California surfer good-looks and an easy, warm charm to the popular street-racing series.
The son of a fashion model and a sewer contractor, Walker grew up in a working class, Mormon household in Glendale, California. The oldest of five siblings, Walker’s mother began taking him to auditions as a toddler. He was a child model beginning at the age of 2.
Walker has said the early induction to show business wasn’t to start him on a career path, but as a way to help provide for the family. After a string of TV roles as a child in the ’80s, including small roles on “Who’s the Boss” and “Charles in Charge,” Walker made his feature film debut in the 1998 comedy “Meet the Deedles.” Supporting roles in the films “Pleasantville,” ”Varsity Blues” and “Flags of Our Fathers” followed.

His performance in the 2000 thriller “The Skulls” caught the eye of producer Neal H. Moritz, who cast him in “The Fast and the Furious” as undercover police officer Brian O’Conner. Adapted from a Vibe magazine article about underground street races, the film became an unexpected hit. In the sequel, “2 Fast 2 Furious,” Walker moved to center stage with Diesel temporarily dropping out. Walker, a self-described “gearhead,” kept his character’s sports car from the film.

Walker starred in other films, including the crime thriller “Running Scared,” the Antarctic adventure “Eight Below” and the heist film “Takers.” Though his stardom didn’t make as much of an impact outside the “Fast & Furious” series, Walker continually drew praise from his co-stars and directors as a kind-hearted and eager collaborator.

“Your humble spirit was felt from the start,” Ludacris, Walker’s “Fast & Furious” co-star, said on Twitter. “Wherever you blessed your presence you always left a mark, we were like brothers.”

“Fast & Furious” proved unusually enduring. Released in May, “Fast & Furious 6? was the most lucrative of them all, grossing more than $788 million worldwide. The seventh installment began shooting in September, with a release planned for July. The film’s production was on break with more shooting to be done.

Walker stars in the upcoming Hurricane Katrina drama “Hours,” which Lionsgate’s Pantelion Films is to release Dec. 13. He also stars in “Brick Mansions,” a remake of the French action film “District B13? in post-production that Relativity plans to release next year. “Paul was an incredibly talent artist, devoted philanthropist and friend,” Relativity President Tucker Tooley said in a statement.

He formed Reach Out Worldwide in 2010 to aid people struck by natural disasters.

A friend of Walker’s who attended the fundraiser Saturday, Bill Townsend, told AP Radio, “He was very happy. He was smiling at everybody, just tickled that all these people came out to support this charity. He was doing what he loved. He was surrounded by friends, surrounded by cars.” Walker is survived by his 15-year-old daughter. News source: entertainment.inquirer.net
